Tabitha Handelong

Tabitha Handelong is a NJ Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with a focus on mental health and substance use disorders working towards her LCSW and LCADC. Her previous experience includes mental health partial care, community case management, outpatient mental health therapy, and substance use therapy at intensive and outpatient levels of care. In her free time, she volunteers on an ongoing basis with a nonprofit agency, Angels in Motion, with homeless outreach on the streets of Atlantic City, NJ.
Tabitha has been working in the field of mental health, substance use, and social services since 2015. She completed her Associate’s Degrees and Addiction Counseling Specialist coursework from Atlantic Cape Community College (2015), and received her Bachelor’s (BASW 2017), and Master’s (MSW 2020) in Social Work from Rutgers University. Her emphasis surrounds Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as Motivational Interviewing.
