Dr. Dean Taylor Reid

Dean Taylor Reid practices Psychiatry in New Jersey and New York, treating clients with a variety of the behavioral, emotional, cognitive and developmental issues. She is board-certified to treat children and adults. Dr. Taylor Reid has been practicing since 2013. Her expertise includes work with individuals affected by Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Anger mis-Management, Depression, Anxiety, Insomnia, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in adults and children. The practice includes prescribing medication, adjusting the medications based on their effectiveness and the client’s response.  At times she admits clients to the hospital, orders diagnostic tests, performs medication management and participates in discharge planning which includes after-care. 

Dean Taylor Reid earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from Monmouth University at the Marjorie K. Unterberg School of Nursing & Health Studies. She obtained a Master of Science in Nursing degree with a focus in Psychiatry at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). This Clinician is certified as a Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is also certified in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Arrhythmia Interpretation, and Intravenous (IV) Insertion & Maintenance.

Dr. G. Dean Taylor Reid was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and is a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Chi Eta Phi Sorority, and the New Jersey State Nurses Association. She received a Service Award from Bergen Regional Medical Center and is a featured member of Cambridge’s Who’s Who Award. Her community involvement is with the Bergen County Animal Shelter and Children’s Charities of America.  Presently she resides in Englewood, New Jersey with her husband, Patrick; son, Shareem; daughter, Brieana; and a pet dog, named Dwight Gunna. 

Despite all of the accolades that have been written about G Dean Taylor Reid she is most passionate about helping people and their families to heal emotionally. Her approach is down-to-earth, non-threatening and very welcoming. She is respectful and honors each person’s cultural, religious or other beliefs. Dr. G.
