Gavrielle B. Canter, MSW, LSW, LMSW
Gavrielle B. Canter, MSW, LSW, LMSW, is a New Jersey and New York Licensed Social Worker who graduated from Adelphi University School of Social Work in 2016. She was a student liaison for the NSW at the Adelphi. Gavrielle graduated from Rutgers University in 2012 with a BA in Psychology. She has worked with various client populations from diverse backgrounds. She has spent most of her career providing services to those in need whether it is in home services, mental health services, trauma services, or addiction services. Gavrielle specializes in diverse issues such as depression, anxiety, abuse, ADHD, Autism, trauma, and PTSD.
Gavrielle values the therapeutic alliance with her clients from day one through creating a safe space and making the client feel comfortable. She uses problem-solving model and solution-focused therapy to help her clients implement solutions to their problems one at a time and to look at the clients strengths. One of Gavrielle’s priorities is to let the client know they are not alone and to develop the coping skills to encounter the challenges throughout life.
