Mildred Torres, LCSW

Mildred Torres graduated from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, with a Masters in Social Work in 1978. Mildred’s skill set is viewing the clients from a broad multicultural perspective: this encompasses ethnicity and other aspects such as geographic location of upbringing. Mildred is bilingual: Spanish/English.

Clients’ spirituality is also considered in the therapeutic process. Concurrently, a transformative technique is used whereby the obstacle is alchemized into a strength. Mildred is skilled at treating trauma-based clients, adult children of alcoholics and clients from dysfunctional families.

Mildred practices CBT, somatic psychotherapy and structural family therapy. Meditation and mindfulness techniques are also used. She holds a Certification in Clinical supervision and in Neuro linguistic programming. Mildred’s vast experience serves as an effective backdrop to effective problem solving. The goal is to achieve hope in the middle of an emotional maelstrom.
