Minela Avdic

Minela Avdic is board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who specializes in providing family-focused care. She has prescribing privileges and is able to diagnose and treat psychiatric conditions. Minela obtained her Bachelor degree in Natural Science and Mathematics with a minor in Biology from Felician College. She completed the accelerated BSN program from Saint Louis University. Knowing how diverse  and complex the healthcare field may be, Minela went to pursue her MBA in healthcare management and administration from Dowling College where she graduated summa cum laude. She worked in various healthcare settings. In 2020, Minela received  the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses for consistently demonstrating excellence in the delivery of patient care. Minela has obtained a MSN degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University with honors. She was also awarded by the faculty of FDU, The Florence Nightingale Award for embodying the purity and loyalty of the nursing profession and devoting herself to the welfare of those committed to her care.
