Nicole Purwin is an LCSW specializing in teens, adults, and the LGBTQI+ community.  She received her B.A. from Fordham University and M.S.W. from Rutgers University. She has over 20 years of experience working in mental health and expertise in crises with a multitude of populations as she was the Assistant Director of the CPNJ Bergen County Screening Program.  Further training includes certification as a Mental Health Screener and in Crisis Intervention.  She strives to provide a therapeutic environment where clients not only feel safe and non-judged but also truly see and hear. She genuinely considers herself an integrative therapist, often adjusting her style to fit each client and their unique and evolving needs incorporating various treatment modalities.  She participates actively, giving feedback and collaborating with clients as they learn to empower themselves.  Experience, humor, empathy, and compassion are key in her approach.
