Wellness

Wellness is an active process of making choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life. Wellness is more than being free from illness, it is a dynamic process of change and growth that encompass the mind, body, and soul. Maintaining the optimal level of wellness is absolutely crucial to live a higher quality life. Wellness maintenance can be difficult to achieve on your own because it requires discipline, regulation and a constant awareness of self. Wellness matters because everything we do and every emotion we feel relates to our well-being.

Yoga and fitness

When your body is in motion you release endorphins that are your bodies way of cheering itself up. Fitness can be a great hobby to take on for those experiencing depression or anxiety, whether it is a group sport or an individual sport.

Yoga is all about calming the nervous system through the constant focus on your breathing. It pushes you to become more in tune with your body and its needs. Yoga also helps release tension in your body. When patients experience a sense of relief, it can be a catalyst for positive momentum in a healing process.
