Amanda Happel, MSW, LSW.

Amanda Happel, MSW, LSW is an alumna of both Ramapo College of New Jersey and William Paterson University. Amanda earned her Master’s in Social Work during her time at Ramapo College and earned her Bachelor’s in Sociology with a concentration in Human Services at William Paterson University.

Amanda’s professional experience has taken her to two school-based positions, community behavioral health, and human services support within a post-surgical medical care facility. Throughout Amanda’s professional development she has become further educated in childhood traumas, trauma being stored within the body, and the relationship between medical health and mental health. She has worked with clients with various diagnoses including Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, OCD, and Trauma and Stressor Disorders.

Amanda is dedicated to bringing understanding to client’s lives to increase the acceptance they have for themselves and their real life circumstances. Empowering clients to create sustainable and beneficial change to live their lives to the fullest is the goal. Amanda works to implement a combination of evidence-based interventions and educational materials to create a custom approach. Amanda perceives that there is no “one size fits all” method to the therapeutic process, as client’s needs are unique to them. She feels therapy is about clients exploring their journey of life and collecting the tools they need to help them along the way.
