JEREMY SACHER, MSW, LCSW

A Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing as a psychotherapist for over 15 years, Jeremy Sacher graduated from Rutgers University, Cook College, with a BS in Animal Science and Psychology in 2002. Then in 2007 he earned his Master of Social Work from Rutgers University, School of Social Work. He is a Certified Clinical Supervisor and a Certified School Social Worker. He did postgraduate work at the Center for Human Development, a modern psychoanalytic institute.

During his professional career, Jeremy has worked with adults, couples, adolescents, families, and seniors—focusing on such issues as Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, and other severe mental illnesses; Grief and Loss, Family Separation and Estrangement; Anger Management, low Self-Esteem and loss of Purpose.  Jeremy utilizes a varied treatment approach: Psychodynamics with Psychoanalytic leanings, and a Cognitive-Behavioral approach with Solution-Focused attributes. Most recently, he has been a staff psychotherapist serving the community of Hackensack, NJ, at Comprehensive Behavioral Healthcare.

Jeremy’s therapeutic style comprises acceptance, compassion, humor, and trust.  Encouraging and empowering through active listening and constructive feedback, but always trying to find the levity necessary for a greater perspective, he is dedicated to his patients and their issues. He seeks the same level of trust, honesty, and communication in order to grow the therapeutic alliance. Therapy is a profound and personal journey through the conscious and subconscious mind, which are often at odds with each other. With Jeremy as your psychotherapist, you can address this divide, grow as a person, and achieve your treatment goals.
