Nicole Purwin, LCSW

Nicole Purwin is an LCSW specializing in adults, teens, and the LGBTQ+ community. She received her B.A. from Fordham University and M.S.W. from Rutgers University. She has 15 years experience working in a crisis setting with a multitude of populations and is the Assistant Director of the Bergen County Screening Program affiliated with Care Plus NJ. Further training includes certification as a Mental Health Screener and in Crisis Intervention. She strives to provide a therapeutic environment where clients not only feel safe and non-judged but also truly seen and heard. She genuinely considers herself an integrative therapist, often adjusting her style to fit each client and their unique and evolving needs incorporating various treatment modalities. She participates actively, giving feedback and collaborating with clients as they learn to empower themselves. Experience, humor, empathy and compassion are key in her approach.
