Amanda V. Alvaro, LSW

Amanda V. Alvaro, LSW is a New Jersey Licensed Social Worker who graduated from Rutgers University Graduate School of Social Work in 2019. She is a member of Phi Alpha (National Honor Society), Psi Chi (International Honor Society of Psychology) and Omicron Delta Kappa (National Leadership Honor Society). Amanda graduated from the University of Delaware in 2009 with a BA in Mass Communications and minor in Psychology. She has worked most with school-aged children and the geriatric population, spending most of her career working as a Social Worker in nursing homes.

Amanda values the relationships she builds with her clients and strives to enhance that therapeutic alliance with them from day one. Creating a space for a client to feel comfortable, accepted, and safe is of the utmost importance. One of Amanda’s priorities is to offer support and counseling through talk therapy, providing clients opportunities to develop efficient coping strategies when they encounter different hardships and challenges in life.
