Lauren Genarelli, LCSW

Lauren Genarelli graduated with her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Salisbury University in Maryland and continued her educational studies at Fordham University, where she received her Master’s in Social Work. Lauren began her career working with children and their families to coordinate therapeutic services. She also provided individual and group therapy and facilitated anti-bullying training within the Bergen County school system. Lauren continued her therapeutic work with children, adolescents and their families at the Bergen County Family Guidance. Lauren has experience in a supervisory position providing guidance to clinical staff that were serving individuals with dual-diagnoses. She continued providing crisis intervention services as well as individual and group therapy. Lauren also worked with dialysis patients ensuring quality of life and linking patients to community resources. Lauren currently works within the prison system providing individual and group therapy to male inmates with dual diagnoses. When working with clients, her main goal is to provide a safe, judgment-free environment here clients can explore, grow and achieve their personal goals. Lauren is passionate about providing a holistic, client-centered approach and has extensive knowledge of community resources within Bergen and Passaic Counties.
