Mee-Hyae Kim, LCSW

Mee-Hyae is a licensed professional counselor and has 14 years of experience working for various agencies in both Bergen and Morris Counties. She has worked with children and adults from all religions, cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds, who struggle with depression, Bipolar disorder, anxiety, trauma, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse.

She has worked in a variety of clinical settings including, in-home therapy, residential treatment centers, group homes, partial care programs, psychiatric hospitals, and has extensive experience in crisis intervention as part of the Bergen County Psychiatric Screening Program.

Mee-Hyae has a Master’s Degree in Psychoanalytic Counseling from Centenary College affiliated with the Academy of Clinical and Applied Psychoanalysis. She has been trained in Modern Psychoanalysis as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Her approach is to partner with the client in a supportive, non-judgmental, down to earth, and thought provoking way which allows clients to actively develop and foster positive change in their lives and to teach mindfulness and healthy coping skills.
